Vulnerability Description: - The SYLVANIA Smart Home v3.0.3 application lacks access control restrictions or authentication mechanisms, enabling attackers to download firmware from the APK file. Due to insufficient access controls during firmware updates and downloads, potential attackers can analyze code and data within the APK file to locate classes or methods related to firmware updates. By exploiting network request components such as retrofit2, attackers can successfully retrieve the full firmware from the server, allowing them to analyze it and extract potentially sensitive data such as passwords, encryption keys, and configuration files.
